2022 Lexus NX technology features and specifications

Luxury driving is a rewarding experience, and with today’s innovations, it continues to get better and better. Lexus is at the forefront of all of this, and our automaking partner here at Lexus of Tucson Automall has just unveiled the 2022 Lexus NX. The creative minds at Lexus are touting the latest version of the NX as having the most technological changes since the brand’s inception decades ago. So, let’s dive right into the 2022 Lexus NX technology features and specifications ahead of its release.

Gasoline and hybrid powertrains

The gas-powered 2022 Lexus NX 350 model will come equipped with a 2.4 turbo engine capable of producing an estimated 275 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque. The NX 250 still packs a punch with its 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine capable of creating 203 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque.

The plug-in hybrid powertrain will be found in the NX 450h+ model. It’s estimated to have a 36-mile driving range when it uses electric power only, and this efficient and high-output hybrid system can be charged in about two-and-a-half hours when using a maximum 240V current.

Multimedia and connectivity

Inside the driver-centric cockpit, you’ll find loads of today’s top-notch technology features. Right behind the steering wheel, the seven-inch Multi Instrument Display, or MID, keeps you updated as you drive. You can also opt for the available 10-inch Head-Up Display (HUD) for even more information and alerts.

A 9.8-inch multimedia touchscreen comes standard and puts so much right there at your fingertips. That can even be upgraded to the available 14-inch touchscreen for an even more engaging experience.

Lexus Interface

Lexus developed this exciting all-new system for drivers to really connect the vehicle and the driver’s daily living like never before. The touchscreen has a Human Machine Interface (HMI) that uses touch, sight, and voice to help maximize and personalize the whole experience. There’s also a Virtual Assistant that is meant to feel more human, and it will be the primary way that drivers and passengers can interact with the system. Navigation, media, phone, and select vehicle settings can be accessed in this way.

The new 2022 Lexus NX will start production in the second half of this year, and release dates are yet to be determined.
